I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's day. Mine was pretty quiet today and it was perfect. We spent yesterday with my in-laws and my mom was busy with plans already, so we didn't get to see her today (though she does live close so we get together more often), but I did get to have a really nice chat with her on the phone.
For me, Russ made breakfast and then he and Quin gave me some little gifts. Russ got me some outdoor water resistant ground blankets for when Quin and I go out star gazing and meteor shower watching. Last time we went out, I mentioned the next morning how nice something like that would be and he remembered and found some for me. Quin got me a beautiful little basket from Bath and Body Works with some air freshener plug ins that I love and had just used the last of and also got a couple of bottles of my very favorite soap and hand sanitizer! I have OCD and soap and hand sanitizers are, literally, the BEST most favorite gifts that anyone can get me. I am just to the end of my last bottle of this particular soap and Quin knows how much I love it and got some for me.
Then we just spent the day together relaxing and hanging out together. It was wonderful!
I hope that you all had just as enjoyable a day today as I did.
I can't think of a more perfect way to spend Mother's day!
The grandkidlet insisted on making breakfast for me and rather than having her go to all the trouble of making eggs and toast, I had a strong hankering for cereal.
I'd never had Cinnamon Toast Crunch before; it's rather cinnamony....and I could 'taste' the love.
