Well, another year and another spending bill to cover a lack of anyone really trying too hard for a budget. (At least we got one out of 6 years!).
This spending bill is not really any better than any other..and if we want to pretend like Republicans are Conservatives in any real way? This kinda shoots that idea to pieces. This makes them about as conservative as Jimmy Carter. Lets have a look at what Boehner figures is a good idea though...
We all have to thank them for that one. (sigh) I don't mind red lining the IRS and defunding other areas of it, but going after the Medi- Programs means the rich have health and the poor have ......the option to die well.
Cold blooded is an attitude we're growing sick of, I believe.
We have the very best system.....money can buy. Don't let anyone tell ya different!
for the love of anything intelligent...STOP attacking the EPA! ! ! I hate the pencil pushers too, believe me, but running them out of money doesn't solve anything. It just makes them MORE hungry with their regulatory books to go forth and fine people within an inch of bankruptcy. They'll get their money...from the budget or from Americans through fines. Lets ease up on that fund-through-fine nonsense. Enough other agencies already do it these days.
We're just letting them go by wholesale release...so who cares anymore? Law means nothing and reviews aren't even being done anymore. Not anything worthy of the name. Guilty and Innocent alike go out those gates, and who cares if a few form the command of enemy forces against us now. Thats supposed to be little details we aren't to be troubled with.
Really?? We can't cut them off for a wide variety of reasons...but Egypt is having to almost beg and plead in humiliation for 1.3 billion these two nations were supposed to be GIVEN ...not have to beg for...to maintain parity and equality in forces. Well.. How does a 3:1 ratio maintain anything but favoritism? We USED to give roughly the same ammount and the US Governments "Green Book" or what shows ALL foreign aid by nation, shows that. It goes back a few decades. Now? We don't even play like the appearance of fair matters... We just outright pick winning and losing sides among parties we can't be playing games like that with. At least in my view. OUCH!
I keep warning folks... Obama may be a dope smoking junkie...or HAS been in the past..whatever his status is now. The REST of the Government are much the same people who were raiding houses over a pound of weed and shooting folks in raids for a few dime bags over petty sales. Nothing has changed...and I mean NOTHING has changed because LAW has not changed. Not ONE IOTA. All that has changed is the "attitude" of federal officials, and then, only some of them. Without a change of LAW? Everything people think they have on this topic can go up in smoke to federal arrest warrants by the bushel, overnight, by a change of federal attitude.
Changing the law would prevent that....but changing the law has never been important to the feds on this.
There is much more of course, and I encourage everyone to go have a look. This should be an interesting year.

AFFORDABLE CARE ACT:
The law is still funded, but there's no new money for it. There's also no new ACA-related funding for the Internal Revenue Service and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the two agencies most responsible for implementing the law.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE:
The bill would dramatically expand the amount of money that wealthy political donors could inject into the national parties, drastically undercutting the 2002 landmark McCain-Feingold campaign finance overhaul. Bottom line: A donor who gave the maximum $32,400 this year to the Democratic National Committee or Republican National Committee would be able to donate another $291,600 on top of that to the party’s additional arms -- a total of $324,000, ten times the current limit. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY:
The agency gets $8.1 billion, down $60 million from the last fiscal year. The agency's budget has been slashed by $2.2 billion, or 21 percent, since fiscal 2010, according to GOP aides. The cuts mean that EPA will have to reduce its staffing to the lowest levels since 1989.

GUANTANAMO BAY:
Once again the Obama administration is banned from transferring terrorism detainees to the United States from the U.S. military facility in Cuba.

ISRAEL:
There's $3.1 billion in total aid for the country plus $619.8 million in defense aid.

MARIJUANA:
The District of Columbia will be prohibited from legalizing marijuana for the much of the coming year. The development -- upending a voter-approved initiative -- shocked elected D.C. leaders, advocates for marijuana legalization and civil liberties groups.
