Good Morning everyone! It seems Trick or Treat can be a saying with multiple uses this season. We just passed the period which gave us candy, sweets and sugar highs for asking which of the two one may supply (at least the kids did..and parents taste test the candy, of course! :) ). This year, Trick or Treat seems to have a second helping of usefulness.
We can ask it, whenever we see a TV ad, mail flyer or actual human politician approaching! Trick or Treat? ...errm..it does seem the Trick side prevails. Well, for the time being, anyway.
Are they high, I want to ask? Are they THIS desperate and THIS insulting??? We already saw one Senator from Louisiana actually insult her own voters as ignorant racists. (sigh) What won't we see next? Comparing to the Klan is a little ....ridiculous though. We can cite how blurry the lines are about just which political philosophy helped create, nurture and maintain the Klan. We could more accurately talk about how NEITHER has the whole guilt OR innocence where that is concerned, and so, using it as a cheap political stunt to scare the less educated in a community is obscene. It's filthy business.
Tricks galore. Yes, Indeed. Many have strong feelings about that trial, which is the point of course. It is to play on them for a vote...or 2..or 20. What that trial was NOT about, regardless of which side you may have been on, was Stand Your Ground. The law never applied, and it never came into it. The circumstances didn't fit to apply it at all, and it could have simply not existed in the first place. The way that shooting was ultimately charged and defended would't have changed much.
I have to say, this ignorance as a badge of honor carries to both parties, altho the Dems are on bright display this time around. (We had fools like Todd Akin from Missouri with his nonsense about Rape victims not getting pregnant to show the other side, last time). Ignorance should never be embraced. It should be stomped out with education, and without pity or mercy when found. Stupidity....may deserve pity. There isn't a thing a man can do about being plain stupid. Ignorance deserves neither pity, nor patience. It is a self inflicted condition, when it isn't being inflicted upon others. Like this story.

Now it may be true, Obama will be removed from office by force of law. It may VERY well come to happen at this point. His 3 points of agenda to follow the election, if followed for executive action, will almost DEMAND that outcome if we're to give even lip service toward being a nation based on law, and not personality.
However... Obama's FIFTY PERCENT pure WHITE...and fifty percent black heritage does NOT a lynching make. Race has nothing to do with it, and we don't have pure race to deal with if it did. We never have with this man. It's about being a hopeless screw up of a leader with no leadership skills to save his life. It's about trying to be King in a Republic. It's about having an America LEFT in 2 years..which isn't the given I once took it to be.
So whatever you do..if you haven't voted already, at least vote. Your head of school board race...isn't rigged from the start. However, that race will have more impact on your children than Michelle Obama's lunch disaster. Your race for city council isn't rigged at that level, but they will determine the ordinances you live under, what you pay in some taxes hitting far closer than once a year to the IRS, and they determine your general quality of life by action or lack of it.
Those are what makes voting worth the drive down to the church, or school or wherever your polling places are located. It's not about voting for the idiots in Washington, and it never really should have been. It's about voting for the people who decide traffic lights in town don't need synchronized, or the police pension is over funded so it gets cut...making the cops pissed off little twits to deal with instead of professionally content twits to deal with. :)
A citizen doesn't have to vote a certain way to say they showed up to play. They just have to show up.....but please? Know enough history to understand references to the Klan for the filth they are. Please?

Campaign materials aimed at getting out the black vote are featuring references to lynchings, Jim Crow-era signs, racial unrest — and, as of last weekend, the Ku Klux Klan.
In Alabama, fliers distributed in largely black communities warn voters to cast ballots or else “land may be given to extremist groups to honor klansmen.” A copy of the flier was obtained by The Washington Times.

In North Carolina, Republicans were outraged when the Senate Majority PAC began airing a radio ad last week linking Senate candidate Thom Tillis to the 2012 shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida.
“Tillis even led the effort to pass the type of Stand Your Ground laws that caused the shooting death of Trayvon Martin,” said the ad, which PolitiFact rated as “false.” Florida’s Stand Your Ground law was never brought up at George Zimmerman’s trial.

Ms. Hagan was also the beneficiary of what may be the campaign season’s most incendiary flier, which shows an old photograph of a white mob surrounding a black man hanged in the background with the message, “Kay Hagan Doesn’t WIN! Obama’s IMPEACHMENT Will Begin! Vote in 2014.”
