It’s still early in the electoral season and it does look like Trump is running away with his campaign. That alone has me scared. Why? you may ask. Because he doesn’t really have a platform at all, other than to piss the establishment off, the same establishment that he himself has taken advantage of and acknowledges it proudly. (Anyone with OWS/Tea Party should be offended by this man, and yet many support him)
“I’m going to make America Great again!” (It’s like a freakin’ Tony the Tiger commercial)
Notice that there is no “We” or “Us” or even “the people” in that sentence? Where have we heard verbiage like that before? Oh yea, the current POTUS. Have you noticed how both Obama and Trump attack those who offend them. What if he does something that YOU don’t agree with and you voice your opinions and he determines that he is offended by YOU? What if he is POTUS at that point? Sucks to be you I think. We currently have decades of examples to fall back on for that one.
He says that he will tone it down if he wins the nomination. But will he really? I think that he will go with what he knows and stay the course. That is human nature after all. You don’t mess with something that works for you.
So…here are my questions to Trump. I double Dawg dare him to answer them within a one month period. (Unlike him, I’m a patient man. Hehe) I figure that one month is enough time to at least have a formulation of a plan (which would be policies if elected) and I do understand that no plan survives first contact and may change. But no plan should be a total and complete flip-flop like he has done in the past. It should stay on mission.
International Issues & National Defense:
-What are your plans on reinstating trust in the United States with allies that have lost it, such as the UK, Israel, most of Europe and a big chunk of Asia?
-What are your plans on dealing with the so-called allies who routinely disregard our Nations wishes? And in some cases, openly defy them?
-If a long time ally is attacked, will you throw the full support of the US, guaranteed by treaty behind them?
-How long will you take using diplomatic course before resorting to military force? What are your limits?
-How exactly will you make the Mexican Gov’t pay for the fence? That’s a pipe dream and you know it. Unless you plan on crossing Int’l border with drones and airstrikes…and that’s a bad road to go down with a direct neighbor.
Domestic Issues:
-How will you reduce the budget? Who will get the cut? Defense? Social programs? Agencies? All of the above?, and if so, How much concerning each?
-Speaking of agencies, what Agencies would you eliminate? And why?
-Will you, like Obama, resort to Executive orders to over-ride Congress if they don’t do what you want them to?
-You’ve already flip-flopped on the 2nd Amendment. Will you do it again?
-You’ve already flip-flopped on Abortion. Will you do it again?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s not all I have off the top of my head and have more actually…but these are serious questions that should be asked of all candidates. Some are starting to answer them…but not “The Donald”.
Right now I see him as a pale version of Obama. Nothing but a narcissistic individual who is used to getting his way, damn everybody else. Our favorite Tech Bunny has pointed out many times how thing swing one way and then the other concerning elections. But I fear that in this case, that swing may be just a pendulum blade that will cut us in two. We’re well on the way there as it is.
Do any of you have open, honest questions of Trump? Or do you just openly follow like the sycophants of Obama?
