The Washington Times reports this for the source........
Well, I guess the strategy after the Heller case, and before he leaves will be to MAXIMIZE every part of the strict letter of the law, and leave no exception..however minor..open or with someone owning a gun of any kind, if they may somehow fit for disqualification.
(sigh) The damndest thing is? This IS perfectly and entirely legal. It isn't RIGHT...but Heller states clearly that while the Super Court DID define the American population as BEING that 'Militia', and hence, our individual right to own a weapon is sacrosanct, they ALSO clearly stated that within the absolute definition lay room for reasonable regulation....which I think most took to mean Mental Illness, criminal history and more.

He is going to get real creative for interpretation, it seems. Ouch.. So what other obscure regs among the 20,000+ gun laws on the books across this nation may be a Gotcha for people in this approach?
Now perhaps I am starting to see why those I.G.'s JUST got gimped for the remainder of Obama's term. Couldn't have pesky investigators out investigating agency overreach or improper conduct...eh?
The Obama administration is pushing to ban Social Security beneficiaries from owning guns if they lack the mental capacity to manage their own disability payments — a move the NRA is calling the “largest gun grab in American history.”
The push is intended to integrate data for the first time from the Social Security Administration into the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), OutdoorHub reported. Beneficiaries who have been declared incompetent to manage pension or disability payments and assigned a fiduciary could then potentially lose their right to bear arms.

“The implications of this policy are too far reaching to fathom at present. Social Security is one of the more prolific and relied upon Federal programs in American history,” the group said in a statement. “That Obama’s directive could so easily be implemented within the SSA suggests that bureaucrats could effectively cloak such a program in any agency within the growing leviathan that is the federal government.”
