It's been what? A year? Naww.... Months? Oh, perhaps not. At least weeks, since we've heard gun grabbers go on about the reasons why grabbing them is a fine idea and almost a moral imperative.
Wasn't everyone starting to wonder if they'd fallen ill or something?? lol.... Never fear. The boundless capacity to be afraid of and react to an inanimate object is alive, well and on full display!
From Chicago:
Chicagoans Blame Tide of Crime Guns on a Few Bad Actors
(i.e..... If those darn gun shops didn't exist, no one would want to shoot each other!)
Okay, last I heard there weren't many gun shops permitted in the Chicago area and until recently? Ordinances made it all but effectively impossible to open a new one in Chicago itself. So...If there are 1,000 gun stores and 4 account for 20% of sales? I'm all for saying there is a problem and something stinks! However..if there are 19 stores in the sample, I'd say 4 stores selling 20% is only a hair off the average expected.
Now that last part really needs looked at in two sections. The first part? Hey, now I'm open to returning to the idea of saying there is a MAJOR problem...and if there are laws being broken, kick the BATFE in the butt for a change and have them do something OTHER than raid people to start little wars in rural locations. Perhaps....oh..I dunno..ENFORCING GUN LAWS would be an outstanding place to start! Straw purchases are federal law issues...so bust them. Every last one of them. Then throw them UNDER the jail. I'm 100% good with that! They give every legal gun owner a bad name.
On the second section there? Chicago's creative ordinances are pretty much what makes it something next to impossible to open a new gun relates business in the city. I suppose if they cannot get the Supreme Court to cooperate with their outright banning guns in the Chicago area, and they can't get the Feds to ENFORCE EXISTING LAW...then they'll go after the cities the businesses reside in?
Hey... it's Chicagoland, and the area has a name all its own for a reason.
From South Carolina:
Nope.. Can't turn back the clock..but lets be very clear why this happened, too.

So all these billions spent for FBI background check efficiency, and all this effort put into the FBI being all powerful with access across law enforcement ...and they can't find a routine arrest report for an individual buying a gun..with 72 hours to do it? It isn't like they said 'gee..can't do it' and gave up. The story clearly says the examiner kept trying.
What is the malfunction here? How many OTHER criminals are getting weapons by the 3 business day loophole? (Which *IS* an honest to God loophole..unlike the right to sell private property between private citizens in another gun related example). The 3 day rule says if they see something to trigger a 'Hold' status on your gun purchase? You have to cool your heels for a few days while they check it out to see what went tilt. (I know this because I get it every time I buy a gun, for a traffic offense which was misfiled in St Louis, years ago). If they fail to resolve it within the satutory time period (3 business days), you get the gun without the matter having been resolved either way.
....Yeah.. You read that correctly. The system can say "NO!! Don't sell to this guy!!....but check for more details to be sure", and if they cannot see what caused the "NO!!!...but.." it defaults to completing the purchase and sending the gun on.

now the Hildabeast is becoming a parody and joke more than anything, and namely by her open and willful abuse of the press and people who actually DO support her. Still.... Stranger things have happened than to see her influence the issues. She seems to be feeling a bit different about Constitutional Rights these days ...but then, she has made a career of shifting her positions as the political winds blow, so no MAJOR surprise.
Still....
Umm.. Hillary.. if it's "uncontrollable" then its unc.... erm.. never mind. (sigh)

Oh, the nation has just about talked it to DEATH. Literally, often enough...come to think of it. Any other divisive issues she can latch onto FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of being divisive and turning Americans against each other? The race is young..I'm sure she'll find more.

Well, there are three headlines and stories from just one day in the average days spent within modern America.
'Course... I bet all my guns in a poker game. Damned gambling bug just bit be bad that night, and I can't even recall who wound up with them. Sowwy....

(i.e..... If those darn gun shops didn't exist, no one would want to shoot each other!)
Four gun shops sold 20 percent of the guns used in Chicago crimes in recent years, and citizens have sued three suburbs, blaming their lax rules for unleashing a tide of guns used particularly against African Americans.
Three gun shops, one in each defendant city, sold 2,658 guns recovered from crimes scenes from 2009 to 2013 the citizens say, citing a 2014 report from the Chicago Mayor's Office and police. "(D)uring that same time period, the average number of guns traced back to all other gun stores was three," according to the city's report.

Most of these guns "were diverted to illegal traffickers either through straw purchasers, theft, or other secondary transfers," the coalition says in the complaint, citing the city's report.
The coalition did not sue the gun stores, just the cities. It claims that Lincolnwood, Lyons, and Riverdale lack "the kind of comprehensive ordinances recommended by the City of Chicago report and adopted by the City of Chicago to curtail the flow of illegal guns to traffickers for use in the neighborhoods" of the plaintiffs.

From South Carolina:
The gunman charged in the Charleston, South Carolina, church massacre should not have been allowed to purchase the weapon used in the attack, FBI Director James Comey said Friday as he outlined a series of "heartbreaking" missed opportunities and flawed paperwork that allowed the transaction to take place.
"We are all sick that this has happened," Comey told reporters in an unusual, hastily-scheduled meeting at FBI headquarters. "We wish we could turn back time, because from this vantage point, everything seems obvious. But we cannot."

Nope.. Can't turn back the clock..but lets be very clear why this happened, too.
Under federal rules, that admission alone would have been enough to immediately disqualify him from an April gun purchase even though he wasn't convicted of the charge. But, Comey said, the FBI background check examiner who evaluated Roof's request to buy a gun never saw the arrest report because the wrong arresting agency was listed on the South Carolina criminal history records that she reviewed.
Had the West Virginia-based examiner seen the police report, the purchase would have been denied, Comey said. The request was on hold for three business days as the FBI examiner sought information about whether it should be approved or rejected. Once that window closed, the firearms dealer used its legal discretion to allow the sale to be completed.

In her standard stump speech, Hillary Rodham Clinton talks about fighting income inequality, celebrating court rulings on gay marriage and health care, and, since the Emanuel AME Church massacre, toughening the nation’s gun laws.

A few days earlier, she said in Hanover, N.H.: “We have to take on the gun lobby. . . . This is a controversial issue. I am well aware of that. But I think it is the height of irresponsibility not to talk about it.”
Oh, the nation has just about talked it to DEATH. Literally, often enough...come to think of it. Any other divisive issues she can latch onto FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of being divisive and turning Americans against each other? The race is young..I'm sure she'll find more.
