I am asking what I think its a simple question, but I am hoping that some of you might help me with this one.
I started a conversation on my FB page that consisted of diverse folks to see if there will be a similar back and forth as there was here on HH with my "American Spring" thread. Boy, was I a bit surprised about some of the reactions I got here, but just wait.
I added 2 woman and 3 men, all different races, and backgrounds. What caught my attention was not any of the things that I thought would come up as they did here. Instead there was more or less a discussion on todays society due to the lack of spirituality. I dont mean church or religion, but there were 2 out of the 3 men that were insistent that what is happening today is from people not understanding things like the pineal gland, and there was even a small suggestion that their may be some "evil" at play and this will cause an alien invasion.
So yeah not your typical conversation when bringing up protests, but hey try to go with the flow. Now even though I dont consider myself spiritual in "that" sense (well, I mean that I think thats been tainted as well) due to some people taking the new age spiritual concept and taking its as, chillax dude, the earth will cleanse itself, lets go roll a joint and not think about it. Or if 3 of us meditate we can stop global warming.
I think that all truly spiritual people have to use both in your face truth, and peaceful thinking to be balanced. But not to use it to ignore what is happening in real life. When I do not necessarily ignore but thank someone for adding what they think our society is lacking and move on, they think that I am just not spiritual or I am against it.
Even though, I am against the educational indoctrination of children. So I home school.
Dont believe in vaccinations (yeah boo for me), so I dont vaccinate plus my children are older and dont necessarily need them for school, etc,.
Dont believe in the system as it is today, so I no longer (though I did when I needed it) participate in government run programs like medicaid, welfare, food assistance, etc,.
Dont want to deal with horrible so called food, so I have a garden.
Dont want to participate in banks, so I only use cash, and have not had a bank account in about 10 yrs. Yes, its possible.
Lived off the grid for 10 yrs, and cooked on a wood stove in the winter to make sure that if anything my children can do without what most adults cant.
Think that self sufficiency is important so I have a bug out bag and know how to use everything in it, including my youngest who is 10 yrs old.
Yet, I am not considered spiritual, or am ignored when I live the life that those that claim to be spiritual do not, and still get into real issues, try to talk to people, share my thoughts through writing, video, and radio. People use memes and quotes from Ghandi, and Buddha, and have no idea what many that lived spiritual lives have done and how they lived and sacrificed.
It was suggested in that thread that people are acting out because they have calcified pineal glands. Are we supposed to get megaphones and yell into the streets of Baltimore, L.A, New York, etc,. on the foods we could be eating so that people stop protesting and police brutality should stop?
Even though I do not agree with most people, I try to listen as much as I can, and even when I am reading, even here on HH, if I think I misunderstood I read your threads and posts several times, or at least until I get what your saying, and if my reaction is not conducive to the conversation I will not respond, it doesnt help anyone to have to say that I dont agree time and time again, and its draining to the mind.
So what I am basically asking is, is there something that I am missing?
BTW, though we all have different opinions seeing what I saw today, and reading some of the responses on my thread here, I have to say that just when you think you have people figured out LOL, you just never know.
