After seeing yet another ridiculous story from beforeitsnews.com, which someone posted to a Facebook group I'm in, apparently thinking it was legitimate, I thought to create this thread, a respository for the stupidest, most inane "news" posted on that site. I know that they are banned as a source on TOS (and maybe here,) and for anyone who comes across this thread, none of this stuff is true!

We start off with the story that was posted to Facebook… apparently Napoleon had been "chipped" by aliens, which accounts for his military prowess.
In 2012, French scientists were examining Napoleon’s skull when they made an astonishing discovery. Dr. Andre Dubois was looking for signs of a pituitary gland disorder that might have contributed to Napoleon’s short stature when he noticed a tiny protrusion on the inside of the skull.
Taking a closer look, he found an unusual microchip about a fifth of an inch long embedded inside the bone. Judging by the bone growth around the chip, the researchers concluded that it must have been implanted when Bonaparte was still young.
The researchers assumed it was a microchip as it didn’t resemble any known technology, past or present. Was Napoleon abducted? He certainly never spoke about this himself.
I love that line, "The researchers assumed it was a microchip", because even if an anomoly existed, the most sensible explanation for an anomoly in someone's skull is an alien microchip implant.
Nice! I sometimes come across BIN stories on Facebook as well that I end up having to correct. Next time I come across one, I'll post it with the refutation here, lol. The biggest problem with BIN is that it is purely user generated and that means that anybody can submit a "news" article without any oversight at all. It basically turns it into the internet's trash heap, imho.

Nailed it, right there, lol.
By not ever vetting their sources, they're constantly republishing stories from satire websites or places that intentionally publish outrageous, but false, stories to click farm.
Idiots.
