I think Rod used the wrong terminology when he used the m word (English isn't his first language). I don't think he meant an actual wedding of the two sites. Just a cross-linking (is that the right terminology?).
There is a group of ex-you-know-where members there and another group here. There is a group of joint CoJo/HH members. Although the two sites discuss many of the same topics, there is a definite difference to the members' interest.
There's been a change of admin/mods at CoJo. A shakeup of sorts that has them relatively beginning again. Part of their problem came here, became a member, and proceeded to try and create confusion here.
Rod meant no harm. He's a good egg. But I'm gonna lay a bear trap for him if he doesn't come back and post in a different thread (and I'm only half joking, Rodinus!!)
Personally, I don't think the trolls remark was aimed at our members. But that's just me :)
As far as I know, the whole situation has been resolved. We are Hernando's and Hernando's we stay.

You're either part of the solution or part of the problem. There is no middle ground.

There is also the consideration of "around the worldness"... HH has a few active participants whose day-night cycles are at odds with most of the remaining active participants, while CoJo's active participation is more populated from Great Britain, to Australia.
There are differences in what is considered 'acceptable', between the forums...with CoJo promoting full & free expression...emphatically endorsing something HH denounces with an axe.

True - I was referring to a particular word that ends with k, following a c, preceded by two letters with f, and of course, the second letter being...uhhhh - I forget.

That being one of the auto-censored words so as not to offend anyone, mainly the ladies that do not care for it
It now comes out as fragg, I think
If doug hasn't worn it out, go ahead and type it in there and see what shows up. Lol
That would just take all the fun out of using the word in written communication. Automatically brings to mind "Fraggle Rock"...and - what a splash that throws into the picture being painted.

Okay, let me correct that
(Looks at guohua's last comment)
Believe the word comes out as 'frakk', not fragg Or in her case, 'frakking'....LOL

I believe in the thread that Guohua generously provided a link to (Thank you Guohua, it was very enlightening!)there was expressed an overwhelming desire to merge the two sites, however doubt was cast upon the idea due to an implied "ego" problem with certain folks from HH. I absolutely take offense to the implication that wishing to remain autonomous and in control of the workings of this forum is an "ego" problem. And yes, there was a comment that stated that if "trolls" from HH showed up over at CJ they knew exactly what to do with them. Most (not all) of the thread- and yes, I read every reply and comment- rubbed me entirely the wrong way. It seemed very much like for folks who wanted to supposedly come together that many look down upon HH, which leads me to wonder exactly WHY the push to merge. I am thankful that any sort of merge is NOT in the cards and hope that HH NEVER gives up one iota of control.

@guohua, I have no doubts as to Rod's integrity - we've been friends for a very long time and he is a stand up guy. There are many from CJ that are my friends and some whom I love dearly. There just seemed to be a very condescending attitude in general throughout the exchanges in the linked thread. I also gleaned some interesting information that led me to believe that the whole push for a merge between the sites sprung more from personally selfish reasons on the parts of a few than from a genuine desire to create more interest in the sites themselves- but then again I pick up on things from conversations that others may not even notice, both a gift and a curse I'm afraid! lol!

While I understand your stance, I respectfully disagree that the "troll" remark was meant for HH members. I can't speak for Pl3abs (or whatever his name is) but I know Rodinus and Druid. Neither of them are the type to make veiled insults. By insulting HH (calling us trolls), they would be insulting a large portion of their userbase...those who hold dual memberships....and they are well aware of those who hold those memberships.
