This statement from his mother came out in 2011 about Gary McKinnon:
On his 17th birthday she had deep concerns about his sudden mental deterioration and took him to a London neurologist, thinking he had a brain tumour. She has also told the Sunday Express of uncovering a history of mental illness in the family that may help in the attempt to stop extradition to the US.
Mr McKinnon’s great-grandmother, Christina Macleod, who was born in 1882, was committed to Woodilee Mental Hospital in Lenzie, near Glasgow, where she remained for 50 years until her death, aged 95. Ms Sharp said: “She became increasingly detached from the world around her and never recovered her mental health.”
The hacker’s grandmother Margaret Totten, born in 1922, also suffered from depression and was mentally ill for most of her life. She was diagnosed with schizophrenia and died in March 1999 in Greenfield Park Nursing Home at Carntyne, Glasgow.
In the past, many people with Asperger’s or other forms of autism were wrongly diagnosed as having schizophrenia.
Ms Sharp said: “This proves that mental illness in Gary’s family goes back generations and that Gary had pre-existing mental health difficulties.”
I just wanted to point out that Corey gave up a six-figure income to come forward and share this information. Why would he do that if this has no truth and he had no guarantee he would be able to feed his family?
He doesn't charge a fee because he says he realizes this information should be free to all, but he does ask that people donate, if they can, so he can keep up this work and support his family. Donations are now a small source of income, and he also gets a small commission from anyone who signs up with Gaiam t.v. through his website link: www.gaiamtv.com/?cid=aff:amb:cg:al000

He had a long history of mental illness, so there's that.....
Well Ms. Nugget I went and read that news article. It comes across to me as a disinfo hit piece, I could be wrong but I think I have seen 3 interviews with his mum and she never once said anything like that. That's the problems with all this stuff, you don't know what to believe or who to trust, making it easy to deceive the public. I do find it curious that they feel the need to extradite and jail a mentally ill person for 60 years though. The greatest hacker of all time Kevin Mitnick only got 4 years. Hey, if you can hack the Pentagon and Nasa they are probably pissed he wouldn't work for them..

I have stated on other threads that I think some people are diagnosed with schizophrenia when they REALLY ARE seeing/hearing ghosts, or in this case, possibly ETs coming to visit. This was especially true in our recent past when such subjects were not spoken of without being laughed right out of one's career. And it seems we still have a long way to go!!
ETs visit people in the same family linage for generations to see how their experiment on their DNA is working. Scientists have to explain this behavior in terms other than "people being visited by little green men" to avoid the stigma that has been placed on the subject of alien contact by elite forces as a means to discredit information that could take away their control. The doctors don't want to "appear" crazy themselves and lose their license for exposing the truth, so it's automatically "schizophrenia".
I'm not saying schizophrenia is not a REAL mental issue in some cases, but I don't think it applies to ALL cases.
Validation? Source Link NASA worker claims to have seen humans walking on Mars in 1979
A woman who claims to be a former NASA employee claims to have seen evidence of the most monumental cover-up in space history in 1979 – as she saw two human figures in space suits walk calmly towards the Viking lander (the grandfather of today’s Mars Curiosity Rover) across the Martian surface.
You could both very well be right! I do see evidence that has be hesitant to take anything he has to say at face value, and am waiting for something more substantial to come forth before I jump on his band wagon.
NOBODY does anything without a motive. In the UFO field, the bottom line seems to be money. I can say I gave up a six figure income to become a Domestic Engineer, but that doesn't make it true. I imagine he might stand to seriously increase his personl wealth by doing the UFO circuit and writing books; maybe that is his motive? If not, then why the months long promotion of his story on the UFO lecture circuit ( which charges money for admittance) and the postponment of his book release till the tour has ended? Doesn't sound like 'informing the public for their own good' is quite as important as making the most money from the story first.
You make a good point, Mystic Wanderer, about mental illness; maybe those people see a part of existance that we don't? I don't know, but I kind of suspect our brains have some sort of firewall deep inside that mental illness breaches.
Everything these guys are saying could be spot on, but money as the primary motive for their story keeps me frombuying into it. I shall remain skeptical and suspicious of these people until they stop getting rich promoting 'The Truth!'

When a person works at such high levels involving a coverup of this magnitude, I'm sure it is almost impossible to offer proof, other than validation from others who can share the same type of info, and that is usually only "their word". David Wilcock says he has had information from other insiders concerning this, but Corey came along and connected the dots with information that David knows he had no way of knowing, unless it was real. I guess we'll have to wait and see if their "word" is true.

I haven't come across anything yet where it states he charges admission, but, if he does, you have to consider that there are costs involved in renting a space to hold these conferences, air travel, food, shelter, etc. A person has to have money to survive... period. I don't see him as a swindler. He is a person that has taken a huge risk by coming forth with this information. He and David have both been threatened by the elite for exposing this information. That was told on the Cosmic Disclosure shows. Where are you getting this information about the postponement of his book release? Link?
Just so you all know, the Cosmic Disclosure shows go into more detail, and offer more information, IMO. The video Guohua posted just skims the surface of some of the information.

Then I guess someone needs to call the paddy wagon to come pick me up and deliver me to my padded cell. This all makes perfect sense to me, and, like David, it connects the dots to other information I've come across in my past research concerning this subject.
Everything these guys are saying could be spot on, but money as the primary motive for their story keeps me from buying into it. I shall remain skeptical and suspicious of these people until they stop getting rich promoting 'The Truth!'
That's all well and good, Nugget. That's exactly what they told people they should do... do their own research into this to see for themselves where the truth lies.
I am your counter-ballance MS!
Counter balance is good as long as it's the subject that is being "balanced", and the people involved aren't attacked. Attacking the person is exactly how the disinformation people discredit the truth that others try to spread to the public.
Mystic Wanderer, I have NOT attacked anybody or anything surrounding this story; I have questioned the validity and motives of the people involved, and researched their history to define behavior patterns indicating possible ulterior motives.
Anybody can research the history of people making such claims, then decide for themselves if something seems off. Look at their life; their work history; whether or not they are leaving out important aspects of their life. I don't want to live my life buying in to some great deception, and that's what I see the 'professional' UFO crowd peddeling. I'm not afraid to look at both sides for the truth- thus my need to research the charachtuer of a person. THAT tells me more than the story they're trying to peddle.

Sorry, Nugget. I wasn't directing that statement to you personally. It was meant as a statement "in general".
Thank you! I no longer live in fear of an alien invasion because of this post! The specific part that set my mind at ease was this:
He said they will fly in front of the NASA space camera on purpose to try to get people to "wake up" and know they are there.
because of that, I know they are nowhere near intelligent enough nor have the technology to find me if I should decide to just disappear. If they did, they would just come right down and land on the White House lawn and call for a press conference, or else land at 30 Rockefeller Center in NY and blast their way into the NBC studios and demand an interview on live TV. the fact that they rely on NASA cameras to "reveal" them, in combination with the fact that NASA is well-rumored in the conspiracy community to be hiding everything they can get their hands on, tells me that aliens just don't have what it takes to do much of anything at all. frankly, I'm surprised they even managed to get here - must have been a lady alien reading the maps, or they'd still be stuck circling Arcturus looking for a filling station to get directions at.
As for this "David Wilcox" character, I wouldn't know him if he bit me on the ass, and so have not much of any opinion on him one way or the other. I will state, however, that in general I am highly suspicious of anyone claiming to have world-altering information "for the good of mankind", and who then offers to sell it to me.
One can NEVER trust a salesman - whether they are selling used cars, Fuller brushes, or an alien agenda.

Sorry.
I just saw this when I posted my last post, and have to respond to it before getting any further into the thread. I listened to it. Listen again: they said Viking ROVER.
There WAS NO Viking rover. The landers were entirely stationary.
They are claiming video - there WAS NO Viking video. Each image or frame took several minutes to generate, and even longer to transmit. Video typical runs around 30 frames per SECOND.
Anyone actually working on the Viking mission in 1979 (if there even was one then - the landers landed in '76, and I think one of them MAY have been operational until around 1982) would have been intensely aware of those two facts, and would have therefore been able to cook up a far more believable story.

@ninurta. Well, she could have been confused mixing up the name because of the rover coming out later, and that is what has been discussed the most, recently. She sounds old, so sometimes the mind plays tricks and the wrong word (and year) comes out.
As far as her saying it was "running around", she could have been referring to when it was still in flight.
After orbiting Mars for more than a month and returning images used for landing site selection, the orbiters and landers detached; the landers then entered the Martian atmosphere and soft-landed at the sites that had been chosen. The Viking 1 lander touched down on the surface of Mars on July 20, 1976, and was joined by the Viking 2 lander on September 3. The orbiters continued imaging and performing other scientific operations from orbit while the landers deployed instruments on the surface.
I have no knowledge of how the camera system worked, or how this video was put together, but she did say there were other witnesses. It would be nice if they came forward to validate her claims, I'll admit. Some people are still probably too scared to come forth with this type of information, either fearing ridicule, or even death.

There are "laws" that they have to abide by, just the same as we have laws we have to abide by. The ones that came here in previous years and did experiments on humans have been banned from entering into our solar system again by the space confederation, which is a governing group of higher level beings. They can't just come and land on the White House lawn; that's why they are trying to get our attention by being seen on the space camera, and NASA space flights. At least you did acknowledge that women drivers can read maps and reach their destination, while the male species just goes around in circles.

No one is "selling" anything. Gaiam t.v. charges a monthly fee, and the Cosmic Disclosure show charges the same monthly fee, if you don't have Gaiam t.v. That is the business they work for, not them. David has his own website where he posts most all the information he shares on the show, and then some, with no fees to visit his site: Corey does the same thing now too. And, as I stated in a previous post, if they do charge admission at conferences (which I have seen nothing stating this), then I'm sure it is to cover the costs of operations, travel, food, etc. Their main agenda is getting the word out to people.

I can't go there. When one has been involved in a multi-year project with a profile as high as the Viking project, one does not confuse what happens behind the scenes there with what happens on projects one was NOT involved in the back end of. She (or he - it was hard to tell) would not have seen anyone "coming over the hill towards the rover" while Viking was still in flight - especially not someones in space suits. The most they could have hoped for would have been speck in the sand... but the problem there is that the cameras were still wrapped up and covered in flight, and did not deploy until quite some time after the landing and post-flight checkups to make sure it was still working. There were no "in flight" pictures from the lander, although the orbiter continued to return orbital photos for years. That's what the first good map of Mars was made from.
I have no knowledge of how the camera system worked, or how this video was put together, but she did say there were other witnesses. It would be nice if they came forward to validate her claims, I'll admit. I'm pretty familiar with the Viking cameras, and there is still detailed information on their imaging systems online. I recall watching the very first image of Mars from the surface unfold line after agonizing line over a period of several minutes. It was a very primitive imaging system by today's standards, but it got the job done - after a long wait. It could not do video. It was not designed to do so, but more importantly the time it took to make just ONE image precluded video running at several frames per second. Even now, the rovers we have can only make animated GIFs by returning several frames and having them compiled together here on Earth. Those "videos" (there are several available of Martian "dust devils") are sketchy, jerky, and short, because the dust devil whirled out of the frame after 4 or 5 frames. Even now, with today's technology, there are no "real time" videos coming from the surface of Mars.
