There are stories about people seeing large orange orbs that suddenly appear over certain parts of the world. The question has been asked for hundreds of years as to what these strange mysterious orbs are?
Many have come up with their own theory over the years. Some say they are the spirits of our ancestors; others say they are UFOs; some swear they are ball lightening, and the speculation continues today with no verifiable answers.
Some physicists explain these mysterious Orbs as time portals; the junction between our reality and other realities. The portal effects occur at certain places on Earth, like the Bermuda Triangle.
They say, when you see a portal, you will see a spherical orb of energy. They are gravitation engines that are taking gravity and changing it into electromagnetic energy.
Reports from witnesses on Brown Mountain, NC, who made close contact with these orbs said they felt static electricity emitting from them. This would collaborate with what science says, but it does not address the fact that these orbs seem to have their own intelligence.
Joshua P. Warren wrote a booklet, The Brown Mountain Lights, explaining his experiences with these mysterious orbs. He also did an episode for the Nat Geo channel. Here is a clip from that show:
There are many other sightings of these strange orbs of light appearing from nowhere:

If you would like to read more witness accounts of people seeing these orbs, you can google it and read about it for days!

So the question remains: What are these strange mysterious Orbs?
The short answer is, no one knows.

My first experience with orb phenomena came at the age of twelve. I was sitting outside late one afternoon, deep in thought about an upcoming school event. Suddenly, from seemingly out of nowhere, a huge orange sphere appeared before me. It was a little above my direct sight and as large as a big beach ball. It was pulsating and its very distinct color would fade and deepen in intensity as I watched it. Very soon after I became aware of its presence, it began to move slowly toward me. I was stunned and sat very still thinking it would disappear if I failed to acknowledge it. Oh well, so much for wishful thinking. I was astonished as it gently floated right through my midsection! I gasped as I felt it pass through my body. I recall feeling giddy, and I was jittery for some time afterward.
My father arrived home from work, and I just couldn’t wait to tell him about my experience. He gave me one of his ever-present “What-have-you-been-up-to-now?” looks as he scratched his head. I told him what had happened. His first expression was puzzlement as he pondered what to say. “Ball lightning,” he said. “That’s what it was. That’s all it was—just ball lightning!” and with that he strolled out of the room.

It is one of the most ubiquitous of all anomalous aerial phenomena taking place in our skies today. Debunkers will tell you it is ball lightening or flares attached to helium balloons by hoaxers or Chinese lanterns released by party goers.
That may be true in a handful of cases but can either fly at over 800 miles per hour and stop on a dime or hover for hours in a terrible wind?
Is it common for military jets to chase Chinese lanterns and helium balloons?
And then there is the apparent intelligence that seems to accompany these orbs. They merge, they separate, they form geometric patterns like triangles and rectangles and star constellations, they blink out and return and some alleged contactees even claim telepathic communication with them.
